I’m Steph and I lead the Creative Arts Ministry at MBC Prince William. On a Sunday, you’ll probably see me in the back of the room or ducking backstage from time to time. I’ve been with McLean Bible Church for 10 years now and have served with Building Services, Frontline, and the MBC Creative Arts Team, led by Don Hollenbeck.
People have asked me what exactly I “do” as the Producer. You’ll read stories on this blog that will likely give you an idea. Basically, my job involves everything from the large scale “creating moments where our congregation can truly worship” to the details like making sure the correct room number is listed on our announcement slides - and everything in between. There is no such thing as a typical day. I love it.
But really, it’s not about me. Worship isn’t about Alyce or her band members. The campus isn’t about Mark or Lon. It’s not about the fancy gadgets or how many screens we have.
It’s about communicating the message that Jesus changes lives. And I’m honored to be a part of that.
