Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. (Hebrews 13:7 NASB)
Many great men and women of God have set examples of extreme faith in Christ. Some have even paid the ultimate price with their lives. These men and women have a faith in God that most do NOT understand. They are confident in God’s plan and provision, and they believe that the One who holds their lives in His hands can be fully trusted. These people do not set their minds on earthly things, but rather, on things above. This heavenly mindset allows them to have a faith in Christ that sees past current situations and circumstances.
Although others may abandon hope, the one who puts his faith in Christ has a joy and peace despite what human reasoning or logic may say. Take notice of these people in your life and imitate their faith. Then take it a step further and ask yourself, “Does my faith look like that?” If not, ask the Lord to increase your faith and allow you to view things from His heavenly perspective.
